Concerted Services is a part of our community - at the heart of our community! The great folks at Concerted Services are there to assist the youngest to the oldest residents in Waycross and Ware County.  Concerted Services provides Head Start and Child development programs, educational talent search, community care services program, and nutrition program for the elderly. The Ware County service center located at 1303 Gilmore Street is now open Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 4:30 pm, and is now closed on Fridays.

The Okefenokee Regional Library System is proud to offer Learning Express! Learning Express includes practice tests, exercises, skill building courses, ebooks and information you need to achiever the results you want - at school, at work and life in general. If you're after a new job there is a learning center at the library that's right for you. The practice tests include the GED, the GRE and the SAT, and also computer skills, job search and workplace skills. It's all in the Learning Express library at the Waycross Ware county public library! All you need is your PINES library card to access this learning resource. The Keep Waycross/Ware County Beautiful committee meets on the third Thursday of the month at the Ware County Court House, at 1:00 PM in the conference room on 2nd floor. Several support groups are provided by Satilla Regional Medical Center! The diabetes support group meets at 6:30 pm on the first Thursday of the month in the Satilla Annex classroom. Here is a community minute from the Waycross-Ware Chamber of Commerce! Announcing the first annual mother-daughter tea party! Come and celebrate mother's day downtown by attendingg the first annual Mother-daughter tea party - Saturday May 7th, from 1 pm to 3 pm in the historic Lott Hitch building. There will be finger foods and refreshment, games, door prizes and music, and you can have your picture made! Be sure to wear big hats and white gloves! Tickets are only $7. The Okefenokee Heritage Center is a Regional Art & History Museum located in Waycross, GA.  The Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing art and history to the people of Ware and surrounding counties.  The goal of the Okefenokee Heritage Center is to enrich the community through the preservation and display of historical artifacts and to provide educational tours, art exhibitions and fine art clubs.  Call for info about children's art classes and drama classes available at the center. The Okefenokee Track and Cycling club is an affiliate organization of the Childers Family YMCA.  The club encouraging fitness through running, jogging, walking and cycling.
